Morton upgrade scheduled for tonight

Postby forhire » Tue Jul 05, 2005 7:53 pm

We will be replacing our dialup equipment in Morton with some new v.92 access servers. This will allow us to fully support the new v.92 modems that come standard with most new computers. We will be replacing the equipment in stages beginning around midnight tonight and plan to be done before 12:30 AM. Connections during this time may be lost while we move circuits. Once the upgade is complete all customers should enjoy improved connections.

We have also purchased new equiment for Mossyrock. The equipments should arrive in the next few days and we'll schedule the installation upon it's arrival.

For those technophiles out there this is a url to the equiment we purchased:

(of course we bought the cool red ones :D )

After nearly two hours of fighting the new dialup server I finally have it working. Currently I'm at 50% capacity. I'm working to bring the second server online quickly (now that I know how).

I fixed a routing issue that popped up after I shut off the old access servers. You should now be able to reach the internet.

The second access server is online. We're back to 100% capacity.

I'm sure there will be many things to tweak and debug over the next few hours.

Things appear to be running smooth. I'm going home to get some sleep. :)
