I've been a longtime user of Ad-Aware ( http://www.lavasoft.de/ ) for removing the SpyWare from Windows Machines that SpyBot can't get.

Ad-Aware has recently been updated, and can now remove VX2 Spyware. VX2 is a particularly insidious type of spyware, which writes itself to the Registry, and locks the keys it creates, making it impossible to remove manually. Also available from LavaSoft, are removal utilities for the most stubborn types, that Ad-Aware alone cannot remove.

Give it a try, you may be amazed how much SpyWare your computer is infected with, particularly if you use Internet Explorer, and have Active X enabled.

Please upgrade to Ad-Aware SE.

We are now discontinuing reference file and product support for Ad-Aware 6 and urge users to upgrade their existing copies to the new Ad-Aware SE. We continued support of the older version of Ad-Aware to allow users time to upgrade while still enjoying the protection they have come to expect from our software.
