Spam volume way up with spam e-mails containing German words
Posted: Tue May 17, 2005 5:26 pmSince Sunday we have seen a 150% incease in spam. Many of the messages are using German words as a dictionary attack to bypass our filters. We have updated SpamAssassin to to most current version and updated our rules. This has helped a lot but the spam keeps coming.
Most of the spam appears to be originating from virus infected machines that have become spam-bots.
