SERVICE NOTICE: Email server upgrade 04-24-2014

We are upgrading the POP3/IMAP/Webmail mail.lewiscounty.com server to newer hardware and software on April 24th 2014. The maintenance window will be from approximately 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM. During this time the server mail.lewiscounty.com will not be reachable. Mail may be delayed during this upgrade.

More information will be posted as we move closer to the time of upgrade.

The old server has been taken offline and the data is currently being synced to the new server. This may take a few hours. I'll post an update as the work progresses.

Completed the synchronization of the home directories.

I've been running the mail spool in parallel and the copy is about a third the way done. Making good time.

Transfer of the mail spool is complete. Currently re-indexing.

Indexing has finished. Rebooting the server.

At approximately 3:35 AM all work was completed and the new server started taking connections. Completed ahead of schedule. Enjoy the new server.
