SERVICE NOTICE: Fiber optic upgrade

Hi Everyone,

CenturyTel is planning to replace a section of fiber optic on Hwy 7 tonight at midnight. This will cause phone and internet outages while this work is performed. Work will start at midnight tonight (06/18/2008).

During this time DSL and some other access services will be affected. We should be able to maintain dialup and hosting services during the repair although our capacity will be limited.

We expect the repair to take a few hours.

Work was completed at 12:30 AM. A half hour outage for a fiber cut is working fast. Thanks to the telco for the quick work.

All system should be working normally again.
